Squash (aka "Butternut Squash")
Meet Squash, an affectionate four-year-old with a gentle disposition and a sunny nature, weighing about ten pounds! She's a people person who loves making human friends. She takes a minute to warm up to new faces, then likes to make the first move, starting play and cuddles when she's ready.
Squash lives with a small senior dog in her foster home, and she's curious and respectful with her. She'd do well as an only dog or with a canine sibling. She's mostly potty trained, sleeps in her crate, and is comfortable in it when left home alone. She's also comfortable on a leash and loves exploring the city sidewalks, often with a twirl or two.
She has moderate energy and does best with three moderate walks a day plus daily play and enrichment. She even picked her own favorite toy out of the supply bin, and she loves to shake it and play fetch. She gets the zoomies, snoozes on the subway, and is comfortable wearing fun doggy couture. She's gaining confidence with the city's sights and sounds every day.
Squash would do best in a loving, patient, moderate home, and she's a great fit for apartment living.
What her foster says about her:
"Butternut Squash would make for a wonderful companion animal. She's playful and has zoomies. Butternut Squash is versatile with a gentle disposition and a sunny nature."
