Buford (aka "Boofy")
Meet Buford, an eager to please, affectionate, silly, and patient 8 year old who weighs twenty pounds! He's moderate energy — happy bursts of playfulness that tire quickly, followed by lots of chill downtime. He's people-oriented and loves being in the same room as you, though he's content settling into his crate or bed nearby too.
Buford is great with new people and indifferent to other dogs so far, though he may just not have met the right playmate yet. He's still building comfort being left alone, which his foster expects will improve as he settles further into his new home.
He's fully potty trained and a crate-training star, sleeping through the night without issue. He's off to a solid start on leash skills, responding beautifully to guidance while working on not pulling during his excitable first few minutes of a walk. He knows sit, shake, and off, and is learning to use bells to signal potty needs!
At home, Buford is a chill guy who follows you around before settling in for some independent downtime. He'd make a fantastic city or apartment dog, completely unfazed by street noise, and would do well as an only dog or with another pup in a calm to moderate household. As a short-nosed breed, he makes plenty of funny snoring and running noises that keep things entertaining!
