TJ (aka "Handsome," "Booboo")
Meet TJ, a curious, friendly, couch-potato five-year-old who weighs twenty-two pounds! He's the perfect mix of energetic and calm. He's happy to chill on the couch with a toy, then gets a burst of energy after a walk and zooms around the apartment for a few minutes. He's a little independent, but he's sweet, attentive, and just wants love.
TJ handles new situations well. He's curious on neighborhood walks and is learning to listen when his person gives him direction. He's friendly with people, and he's polite and curious with other dogs. He wants to say hello without pushing himself on them.
He's potty trained and goes outside easily. He walks well on a leash, goes into his crate at bedtime, and knows come, up, and down. He's working on sit and stay and taking baby steps in the right direction. Encouragement and treats help him along.
TJ would do best with an adopter who just wants a buddy to hang out with. He's a great fit for apartment living, and he'd love a household with a mix of walks, play, and relaxing. A dog park or private outdoor space would be a bonus.
