Meet Bambi!
If you've ever wanted a tiny woodland creature as your best friend, Bambi might be your girl! With her sweet face and deer-like appearance, this adorable six-year-old Chihuahua looks like she wandered straight out of the forest—but she's settling into NYC life like a pro. She weighs just seven pounds!
Bambi is sweet, affectionate, and incredibly friendly. She loves pets and cuddles but also has an independent side and is perfectly happy curling up in her bed and doing her own thing. She's confident with new people and has had positive interactions with people of all ages. She's also friendly with other dogs and gets curious and excited whenever she spots a potential new friend on the street.
Bambi is a curious little explorer who loves to sniff and take in everything around her. She's easily redirected on walks and has adjusted to the sights and sounds of NYC remarkably quickly. An occasional loud noise might startle her, but she generally takes city life in stride. And if you have treats, be prepared for her signature move: Bambi loves to dance on her back legs for a snack!
At home, Bambi is an easygoing companion with a low-to-moderate energy level. She reliably uses wee-wee pads and sleeps peacefully through the night in her open crate. She's beginning to learn to potty outside and is still working on her crate training.
Bambi would be a great fit for an apartment or a home of any size and would be happy as your one-and-only or with another dog. She's affectionate without being demanding, curious without being overwhelming, and just an all-around easy little dog to have around.

Bambi previously tested positive for heartworm and was treated before traveling north.
