Lorelai (Spayed) - Tortoiseshell Cat for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Lorelai is a beautiful 2-year old female Tortoiseshell kitty who was brought to the HSOV on June 8, 2026 by an individual who found her on West Street in Belpre Ohio. Lorelai was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.

This little sweetheart appears to have been kept indoors during her lifetime. Lorelai's carrier was dropped in the parking lot and busted open .. Most cats would have "high-tailed it" and quickly fled the scene, but Lorelai was too frightened to even make a move and was petrified which made us believe that she had never experienced being outdoors.

Lorelai has a dark brown-and-orange shorthaired coat in a tortoiseshell pattern, a long tail, and a pretty face with golden eyes, a patch of orange above her right eye, a black velvet nose, a splash of orange/beige on her chin, and one white whisker among her black whiskers.

Lorelai has a sweet, rather shy, personality but warms up quickly and responds to a gentle touch when she senses that she can trust you. She loved to snuggle up beneath blankets during the first few weeks she was in our shelter and, these days, she is becoming more socialized.

Lorelai was given vaccinations and Pyrantel wormer on July 4th 2026.

These photos of Lorelai were taken on July 4th when HSOV Kennel Tech Lauryn Hamilton accompanied her in our 'studio' for her glamour pictures. Lorelai loved being carried in Lauryn's arms and being told in a quiet voice what a 'good girl' she was. Lorelai was a bit uneasy with the paparazzi/picture-taking experience, but she knew that she was safe with Lauryn by her side.

Lorelai was spayed on July 7th 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 5.14 lbs that day.

Lorelai would love to find a home with a special someone who would understand what it's like to be a scared little girl and who would have patience to give her the time she needed to acclimate to her new home on her own time schedule.
