DESCRIPTION
Foxy is a beautiful female Australian Shepherd/Husky mix puppy who was brought to the HSOV on February 11, 2026 along with her four siblings (Buck, Groundhog, Kitty, and Raccoon) after they were found on Straight Run Road in the Lowell Ohio area fending for themselves. The puppies were estimated to have been just 4-months old at that time.
Foxy has a tan-and-white medium-haired coat, a long tail, and a precious puppy face with dark brown eyes, a slender muzzle, and large erect ears.
Foxy weighed 20 lbs when she entered our shelter on February 11th.
Foxy and her brothers/sisters were full of playful puppy energy and were all about fun-and-games.
Foxy went home with a foster family on March 7, 2026 who planned to adopt her after she was spayed.
Foxy was spayed on April 13, 2026.
Foxy was returned to HSOV by her foster family on June 20, 2026 since they decided not to adopt her. Her foster family loved her very much, but Foxy was intrigued by electrical wiring and was chewing electric cords of varying types .. So they were concerned that she might harm herself in addition to causing damage to appliances etc.
Her family noted that Foxy is prone to car sickness and is not a good traveler in cars/trucks.
Foxy is naturally larger than she was in her original Petfinder debut which featured her puppy pictures which were taken on March 2nd 2026.
These updated photos of Foxy were taken on June 23rd 2026 when HSOV Kennel Tech Liz Stingley accompanied her for outdoor glamour pictures. Foxy was a little reluctant to walk on a leash but with Liz by her side, she was soon posing like a pro.
Foxy weighed 41.1 lbs on June 23rd and isn't a very large dog when you see her in person.
Foxy would love to be back in a real home again instead of a shelter kennel/floor crate. Foxy would likely need to be supervised and trained not to chew on electrical cords/wiring .. And to change her career aspirations to something other than electrician (smile).
