Fred (Photos July 10th 2026) - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Fred is a handsome 2-year old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on July 2nd 2026 by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff who picked him up on Veto Road in the Belpre Ohio area. Fred was accompanied by a beautiful female Pit Bull Terrier mix who naturally had to be named Wilma.

Fred has a beautifully-marked black-and-white coat, a long tail, and a symmetrically-marked black/white face with dark brown eyes, a black button nose, and semi-erect ears

These photos of Fred were taken on the afternoon of July 10th when HSOV Kennel Tech Liz Stingley accompanied Fred for his Petfinder/Facebook/Adoptapet pictures. Fred has a friendly disposition/personality.

Fred weighs 50 lbs and walked fairly well on a leash with Liz by his side.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Fred (and Wilma) were held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that their family would have an opportunity to reclaim them with proof of ownership. Sadly, nobody has called or came looking for them as of July 12th 2026.
