Katana (Photos July 14th 2026) - Tabby and Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Katana is a cute 7-week old female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on May 14, 2026 along with her two siblings (Dagger and Saber) after they were found by themselves (with no mother in sight) on Miles Avenue in the Little Hocking Ohio area.

Katana has a brown tabby short-haired coat, a long ringed tail, and an adorable kitten face with golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers.

Katana is a happy little girl with a playful kitten personality, and she loves sharing a double-wide cage with her brother and sister. These 'three mouseketeers' romp/play together and snuggle up with each other for multiple cat naps during the day.

Katana is a petite kitten who weighed 1.3 lbs when she entered our shelter on May 14th 2026. Katana was given vaccinations and Pyrantel wormer on May 19th 2026. She was given booster vaccines on June 3rd and June 27th 2026. Katana weighed 2.7 lbs on June 27th.

These photos of Katana were taken on July 14th when Katana enjoyed out-of-cage time in our 'studio' for her 'big girl' pictures. Katana discovered the same tiny toy purple mouse which her brother had encountered, so Katana also enjoyed playing/batting that mouse around. Her facial expressions and stance were so serious while she was stalking the toy mouse .. which was very amusing to watch and to photograph.

Her brother (Dagger) was neutered on July 6th 2026 and was adopted on July 7th 2026.

Katana and Saber are continuing their playtime as a 'two-some', and they will be spayed in the near future (tentatively on August 3rd). Naturally we'd love to see them adopted together.
