Oakwood (Photos July 15th and July 16th 2026) - Terrier Dog for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Oakwood is a cute young male Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on July 15th 2026 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Oakwood Avenue in the Norwood neighborhood of Marietta Ohio. Oakwood was not wearing a collar so there was neither an ID tag nor a dog license tag to enable us to locate his family ... And he was not microchipped.

Oakwood has a white short-haired coat, a long tail, and an adorable chubby face with brown eyes, few faint black freckles on his muzzle, a black button nose, and extra-large erect ears.

Oakwood had a lot to talk about when we snapped first photos in his floor crate, so perhaps he was trying to tell us where he lived and what his family's surname was .. Or that he left his cell phone at home and needed to contact an attorney to arrange bail money?

Oakwood has a stocky/muscular build and weighs approximately 55 lbs.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Oakwood will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family will be able to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
