Pup Tart (Photos June 26th 2026) - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Pup Tart is a handsome male American Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on June 26, 2026 by a Washington County Ohio Deputy Sheriff who picked him up on Veto Road in the Belpre Ohio area. Pup Tart was wearing a collar but there was neither an id tag nor a dog license tag on his collar ... and he was not microchipped. We've estimated that he is approximately 2-years old.

Pup Tart has a dark gray medium/longhaired coat with a patch of white on his chest, white paws, a long tail, and an adorable face with light brown eyes, a light gray muzzle, a gray/milk chocolate nose, and floppy ears which are fringed in wispy hair.

Pup Tart has several patches of sparse hair on his back/sides (most likely due to flea allergies) So he will be given flea treatment and some nice soothing medicated baths.

These photos were taken around closing time on June 26th when HSOV Kennel Tech Avah Day accompanied Pup Tart for outdoor pictures. This sweet boy has the most lovable, affectionate personality, and he was a pushover for attention (and belly/head/butt scratches) after he posed for his Petfinder/Facebook/Adoptapet debuts. It seems that Pup Tart already has a newly-formed fan club, and he adored being the center of attention when kennel techs Avah Day, Hannah Lee, and Lauryn Hamilton wrapped him in their collective arms and gave him hugs, kisses, and massages

Pup Tart continued his photo session when he went back in the shelter lobby for his weigh-in and wasn't quite ready to give up the limelight .. So naturally we indulged him for more pictures and attention ... And Avah discovered that Pup Tart knows how to 'sit pretty'

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Pup Tart will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership.
