Sushi (Photos September 6th 2026) - Tortoiseshell Cat for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Sushi is a cute female Tortoiseshell kitten who was brought to the HSOV on June 9th 2026 along with her brother (Soy Sauce) after they were found fending for themselves on Meadow Lane in Marietta Ohio. Sushi and Soy Sauce were tiny 8-week old babies at that time.

Sushi has a brown/orange/cream shorthaired coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with golden eyes, a cream-colored 'mustache', a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.

This little beauty was given Pyrantel dewormer and vaccinations on June 11th 2026. She weighed 1.8 lbs that day. Sushi was given booster vaccines on July 1st and August 1st 2026.

Sushi has a shy, rather demure, personality and depends upon her big brother Soy Sauce as her 'security blanket'. They have been kept together since the first day of their arrival and are currently sharing a double-wide cage in The Jungle Room where most of our adoptable cats are housed.

These photos of Sushi were taken on September 6th 2026 thanks to HSOV Volunteer Angel Grosklos who helped her with her big girl pictures in our 'studio'. Sushi wasn't quite sure at first that she wanted to participate in this new experience with the paparazzi but, with some soothing quiet conversations and gentle petting, Sushi humored us long enough to snap her Petfinder/Facebook/Adoptapet publicity photos .. But she was definitely ready to jump back intoher safe spot (the double-wide cage) with her bestie Soy Sauce.

Sushi will be spayed before being adopted by her new family (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized). Naturally we'd love to see Sushi and Soy Sauce adopted together.
