Jasper is a 10-year old male Boxer mix who was surrendered to the HSOV on August 21st 2026.
Jasper has a white short-haired coat, a deep/broad chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with soulful brown eyes, a patch of brindle above his left eye, a square/stubby muzzle, and large white/brown spotted floppy ears.
Thanks to HSOV Volunteer Jennie Payton Sherrard for accompanying Jasper for outdoor photos late in the afternoon on August 23rd. Jasper seemed to enjoy his walk with Jennie to/from the photo area, and he posed like a pro for several nice 'Westminster-like' stances.
Jasper may be a senior citizen according to the chronological age on his kennel cards, but he was actually very agile and energetic when he was with Jennie and another volunteer.
We don't know much about Jasper yet since he has only been with us a couple of days, so our shelter staff/kennel techs will be assessing his behavior in the days to come.
Jasper doesn't have very many teeth, so he is likely in need of a dental procedure. Jasper has a slim, trim physique but hadn't yet stepped on the scales for a weight when these photos were taken.
