Turnip (Garden's Kitten) (Photos July 16th 2026) - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Turnip is a cute male kitten was brought to the HSOV on May 6th 2026 with his four siblings (Cucumbers, Leek, Tomatoes, and Turnip) and his mother (Garden). Turnip and his siblings were tiny 2-week old babies at that time.

Garden was a loving mother to her kittens but, sadly, three of her babies (Cucumbers, Leek and Tomatoes) passed away within a few days. Turnip and his sister (Parsnip) were the sole survivors and were raised to be happy youngsters. Turnip and Parsnip have remained with momma Garden and have never been separated from her.

Turnip has a black-and-white shorthaired coat, a long tail, and an adorable symmetrically-marked face with dark golden eyes, a pink nose, a black 'beauty mark' on the left side of his muzzle, and long white whiskers.

Turnip was given vaccinations on July 1st 2026 and was given booster vaccines on August 1st 2026.

Turnip and his sister Parsnip are currently sharing a triple-wide cage in The Jungle Room with their mother Garden. Turnip is the more quiet sibling who would rather be with his mother (who is also very quiet/relaxed). His little sister Parsnip has a 'Type A' outgoing personality and is the self-appointed activities director of the family (smile).

These photos of Turnip were taken on July 16th 2026. True to his nature, Turnip chose to remain close to his mother but posed for beautiful pictures while he politely sat pretty and looked at the camera lens. We've also included one of Turnip's baby pictures which was taken May 26th.

His sister Parsnip was spayed on August 3rd 2026 and was adopted by a wonderful family on August 4th. They also adopted another HSOV kitten (Louise) that day .. We're happy that Parsnip and Louise will each have a new best friend/playmate in their new home.

Momma Garden and Turnip are still together and will be spayed/neutered in the near future (tentatively on September 14th 2026) .. And they will be ready to find a fabulous home (hopefully together).
