Tiger Lily (Photos August 6th 2026) - Pit Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Tiger Lily is a beautiful 4-year old female Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on March 4, 2026 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden. She was being kept on Safe-Keeping status at that time since it was likely that her owner would reclaim her at a later date.

Tiger Lily has a brown short-haired cat with a small patch of white on her chest, a long tail, and a pretty face with cute wrinkles on her forehead, golden brown eyes, a slender muzzle, a liver-colored nose, and semi-erect ears. Tiger Lily's coat has a subtle 'tiger-striped' pattern which is absolutely stunning.

This little beauty weighs approximately 50 lbs.

Unfortunately, Tiger Lily was not reclaimed by her original owner so her status was changed to adoptable on June 7th 2026.

Tiger Lilly has become a favorite of some of our HSOV volunteers who love to walk her for out-of-cage exercise and to stretch her legs. Like many shelter dogs, Tiger Lily is very excited and energetic on a leash when she experiences her 'get out of jail free' card but she settles down to a more reasonable pace after the 'burst of energy' (smile).

Tiger Lily loves her people friends but she is selective of the dogs which she chooses to be friends with .. And she does NOT include cats in her circle of friends.

These updated photos of Tiger Lily were taken on the afternoon of August 6th 2026 when HSOV Volunteer Miley Kiggans spent time with her on a sunny afternoon. Tiger Lily made the most of her 15-minutes of fame (and freedom from her floor crate) and thoroughly enjoyed being with Miley.

Tiger Lily will be spayed before she is officially adopted. She would love to find a forever home (or a temporary foster home) so that she could enjoy the comfort of a real home environment.
