Patchwork Patti - American Staffordshire Terrier and Black Mouth Cur Dog for Adoption in New Orleans, Louisiana

Well, butter my biscuit and hide your cowboy boots! Y'all meet Patchwork Patti, a petite little Southern belle with a beautiful brown-and-white patchwork coat, a heart as sweet as peach pie, and apparently a slight obsession with footwear!

This little country cutie was reportedly dumped along a rural highway in Southeast Louisiana and spent several weeks living underneath a woman's trailer. A kind neighbor kept her fed, and the family's little girl named her Patches. They even considered keeping her, but Miss Patti had a mischievous habit of stealing boots and other treasures off the porch and scattering them across the neighbor's yard!

Unfortunately, the family's hunting dogs weren't fond of her, so Patti eventually landed in an overcrowded rural shelter, living on borrowed time.

But here's what really steals your heart! When someone went looking for her, all it took was hollering "PUPPY!" and Patti came running, immediately rolling over for belly rubs!

At just 1 year old and a petite 30 pounds, this little bully/terrier mix is extremely dog-friendly, super affectionate, and quickly became a shelter favorite! She will be fully vaccinated,Microchipped, Spayed and is Heartworm NEGATIVE!

Miss Patti may have had a few rough patches, but she's ready to trade life under a trailer for a cozy bed, a loving family, and a few dog-approved chew toys!

After all, every beautiful patchwork quilt is stitched together with love, and Patti deserves a happily ever after of her very own!

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
