Hamilton "Ham" Porter - Flat Coated Retriever and Black Labrador Retriever Dog for Adoption in New Orleans, Louisiana

Meet Hamilton "Ham" Porter! The Fluffy Little Comedian of the Sandlot Kids!
"You're killing me, Smalls!" If you know The Sandlot, you know Hamilton "Ham" Porter is a legend who never misses an opportunity to make people laugh. And our very own Ham is ready to bring that same big personality and sunny spirit to his future family!
Meet Hamilton "Ham" Porter, one of eight adorable puppies in Take Paws Rescue's Sandlot Kids litter, inspired by the beloved baseball classic! Born on August 28, 2026, Ham and his seven siblings had a "ruff" beginning when their mama, Ruthie, delivered them under a trailer. Thankfully, their story is taking a happier turn, and this little guy is ready to knock his way right into your heart!
Ham is an adventurous, funny little fellow with a sunny disposition that makes every day feel like a day at the ballpark. He's the kind of puppy who makes you smile just by being himself, whether he's off exploring his surroundings, getting into a little harmless puppy mischief, or simply enjoying the company of his favorite people.
And let's talk about his appetite! Ham and his brother Squints are in a fierce competition for the title of Best Eater. These boys take mealtime VERY seriously, and Ham isn't about to let his brother claim the championship without a fight! If there's food involved, you can bet Ham will be ready to step up to the plate.
Adding to his already irresistible charm is his wonderfully soft, fluffy coat. He's basically a walking, wiggling, snuggle-worthy teddy bear with a personality to match. Give him a little adventure, a full belly, and some affection, and you've got one happy little Ham!
His early days may not have started out in the comfort every puppy deserves, but Ham's future is full of possibilities. He's ready for a family who will embrace his playful spirit, laugh at his antics, and love him through every stage of growing up.
Ready to draft Hamilton "Ham" Porter onto your family team? This fluffy little MVP is ready to make every day a home run!
Ham will be vaccinated, microchipped and neutered, all covered by his adoption fee.
