Bonjour, darling! Coco Chanel here, and while my name may be synonymous with elegance, what I'm really hoping to find is something far more precious than designer labels: a family to call my own.
I'm a beautiful 1-year-and-9-month-old Poodle weighing about 35 pounds, and I have the sweetest personality you could ever hope to meet. I am house-broken, crate-trained, up to date on vaccines and soon will be spayed. I'm a friendly girl who gets along with kids, too! I have so much love to give, and I'm ready to share it with a family who will make me part of their everyday lives.
My journey to rescue wasn't easy. My previous owner loved me very much, but life sometimes takes unexpected turns. While going through a divorce and working long hours, she realized I was spending too much time alone in a kennel. As heartbreaking as it was for her to say goodbye, she wanted me to have the quality of life I deserve. Surrendering me wasn't a decision made for lack of love, but because she wanted something better for me.
Now I'm trying my best to understand this big change in my little world. Everything is new, and I'm still adjusting to life without the person I knew. I may be a little confused right now, but underneath it all is the same sweet Coco, just waiting to feel safe, loved, and at home again. Could you be the one to help me turn this unexpected chapter into a happy new beginning? I dream of a family who will include me in their lives, give me companionship, and remind me every day that I belong.
I promise to bring plenty of sweetness, cuddles, and Coco Chanel charm to the deal. After all, darling, the best things in life aren't designer handbags or fancy shoes. They're the ones who love you unconditionally.
Coco Chanel is ready for her next great love story. Could it be with you?

Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
For more on this, or for additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets (including an explanation about Benefactor Dogs), please see our FAQs page:

Any breed labels used by Take Paws Rescue, its employees/volunteers, or on vet records provided cannot be guaranteed. Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels. Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
