Meet Papi - 8 Pounds of Fluff, Sass & Chihuahua Attitude!
Calling all Chihuahua lovers! You know who you are... the ones who appreciate a tiny dog with a BIG personality, a little spice, and absolutely no idea he's only 8 pounds!
Papi is a handsome 2-year-old, long-haired Chihuahua looking for a fresh start through no fault of his own. His momma has a very full plate, raising three children, expecting another, working full-time, and attending college. She loves her little guy but realizes she simply doesn't have the time he needs and deserves.
Now, let's talk about Papi's personality! He's got that classic Chihuahua charm - a little suspicious of strangers, opinionated about newcomers, and not afraid to let you know when you've invaded his personal bubble! He needs slow, patient introductions to new people and animals because when overwhelmed, he may bark or even nip. But he absolutely loves the children he's grown up with, so we know there's a loving little guy underneath all that sass!
Papi is crate trained, but his house manners are still a work in progress. He will need someone willing to work on potty training with patience, consistency, and a good routine.
Papi will come up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and neutered. His heartworm status is currently unknown until intake and testing. Should he test positive, the rescue will cover his heartworm treatment.
We're looking for a Chihuahua-savvy adopter who understands that trust is earned, tiny dogs have big feelings, and sometimes the smallest packages come with the biggest personalities!
Papi doesn't need perfection. He needs someone with the time, patience, and love to help him become the best little version of himself.
If you love your Chihuahuas a little spicy, a lot fluffy, and full of character, Papi might just be your perfect little sidekick!
