Sadie Josephine (Benefactor Dog) - Golden Retriever Dog for Adoption in New Orleans, Louisiana

Meet Sadie Josephine! Southern Belle, Sweet Soul, and Apparently a Pool Enthusiast!

Sadie Josephine is a 5-year-old, 75-pound Golden Retriever with a gentle heart, lovely manners, and a rather impressive ability to make herself at home. Case in point: shortly after arriving at her foster home, she promptly jumped into the swimming pool. No formal introductions necessary. She had found the amenities.

This beautiful girl came to Take Paws Rescue when her human fell on hard times and made the difficult decision to find her a new home. Sadie is a docile, affectionate sweetheart who gets along wonderfully with children, other dogs, and even cats. She's house trained, spayed, and has never needed a crate. She's perfectly content to enjoy free roam of her home and has proven herself to be a well-mannered houseguest.

Sadie can be a little nervous in unfamiliar situations, so she'll need a patient, kind family willing to give her time to settle in and find her confidence. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality really begins to shine. Having a second dog at home would help her adjust and be happy.

Her ideal home would include an active family, another friendly dog to help her feel comfortable, and a securely fenced yard where she can play, explore, and enjoy life at her own pace. A swimming pool? Well, Sadie would certainly consider that a bonus, but she's willing to negotiate.

She's currently receiving treatment for some skin allergies and is getting the care she needs to feel her best.

Sadie Josephine isn't looking for anything extravagant. Just a loving family, a little patience, a canine companion, and a safe place to call her own.

If you're looking for 75 pounds of Golden Retriever sweetness with a splash of personality, Sadie Josephine might be your girl!
