Meet Wendy Peffercorn! One Tiny Star of the Sandlot Kids!
"Heroes get remembered, but legends never die!" And something tells us this teeny-tiny girl is destined to be a legend of her own!
Meet Wendy Peffercorn, one of eight adorable puppies in Take Paws Rescue's Sandlot Kids litter, inspired by the beloved movie The Sandlot! Born on August 28, 2026, Wendy and her seven siblings had a bit of a "ruff" start when their mama, Ruthie, delivered them under a trailer. Thankfully, their story is getting a much happier next chapter!
Wendy may be the tiniest member of the crew, weighing barely 2 pounds, but this little girl has a whole lot of love packed into her petite puppy body! Thought to be a Flat-Coated Retriever and Black Labrador mix, she sports a gorgeous black coat, the sweetest little white markings, and those oversized ears that make her absolutely irresistible. Seriously, could she BE any cuter?!
Beyond adorable, Wendy is also incredibly affectionate. She's the kind of little girl who makes you want to scoop her up, snuggle her close, and promise her that the best is yet to come. She's just getting started in this big world, and we can't wait to see the personality and confidence that blossom as she grows.
With a name like Wendy Peffercorn, she's already got a little star power. Now all she needs is a loving family to make her the leading lady in their own happily-ever-after!
Could Wendy be the little love of your life? This pint-sized Sandlot Kid is ready to steal hearts one snuggle at a time!
Wendy will be vaccinated, microchipped and spayed, all covered by her adoption fee.
