SADIE IS A FIVE-YEAR-OLD AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD WHO HAS THE SMILE OF A DISNEY PRINCESS AND THE SUSPICION LEVELS OF A WOMAN WHO JUST FOUND A SECOND PHONE IN HER HUSBAND'S GLOVE COMPARTMENT.
SHE'S ADORABLE. SHE'S AFFECTIONATE. AND IF YOU'RE HUMAN, YOU'RE ALREADY HER BEST FRIEND.
Sadie is a beautiful, perpetually smiling sweetheart with an excellent temperament, impeccable household manners, and enough affection to qualify as a public utility.
She's cuddly, happy, potty trained, crate trained, excellent on a leash, and wonderful with other dogs.
SHE ALSO HAS THE INVESTIGATIVE INSTINCTS OF A RETIRED FBI AGENT WHO KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO JIMMY HOFFA.
But here's the distinction. Humans? Immediate approval. No paperwork. No background check. Come right in and prepare to be loved.
Other dogs?
MA'AM, WE'RE GOING TO NEED TO VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY.
Sadie was previously attacked by another dog, so she's understandably careful when meeting new canine acquaintances. She needs a little time to determine whether they're safe before granting access to her inner circle.
"Sadie, meet Buster! He wants to be your friend!"
"DOES BUSTER HAVE REFERENCES?"
"He's very friendly!"
"SO WAS TED BUNDY, DEBORAH. NEXT QUESTION."
"He just wants to sniff you!"
"AND I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHY HE'S APPROACHING WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT."
BRO, SHE'S NOT BEING DRAMATIC. SHE'S CONDUCTING DUE DILIGENCE.
Give her a patient introduction and a chance to assess the situation, and she'll happily upgrade another dog from PERSON OF INTEREST to BESTIE FOR LIFE.
THE FRIENDSHIP IS REAL. THE VETTING PROCESS IS JUST EXTENSIVE.
And once she's comfortable? Sadie is an affectionate, smiley, cuddly sweetheart who genuinely enjoys other dogs and adores being loved.
She isn't difficult. She's a wonderful girl who loves humans immediately but learned through a frightening experience to be careful with unfamiliar dogs. She deserves a family who respects that distinction and gives her the security to build canine friendships at her own pace.
SADIE: FIVE YEARS OLD, BEAUTIFULLY BEHAVED, AND CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF CANINE BEST FRIEND.
THE SMILE IS IMMACULATE. THE DOG-FRIENDSHIP VETTING DEPARTMENT HAS LEGAL REPRESENTATION.
