Meet Bean!
6 lbs of pure Chihuahua drama, sweetness, and snuggles!
Bean is a tiny little gentleman looking for a lap to call his own. At around 5-7 years old and weighing just 6 pounds, he is approximately 97% Chihuahua and 3% trembling marshmallow. He does the classic Chihuahua shiver pretty often, but underneath those tiny shakes is the sweetest, most sensitive little guy.
Bean absolutely LOVES other dogs and enjoys meeting new people. He is not one of those "I have 4 pounds of attitude and 12 pounds of teeth" Chihuahuas. He is gentle, friendly, and very much a lover. He can be easily startled or have his feelings hurt, though, so he needs people who will treat his tiny body and tender little heart with care.
He is snuggly, affectionate, and basically the perfect purse dog. He'd happily accompany you everywhere and then curl up in your lap when the adventure is over.
Bean is doing great with his potty training! He may do a little initial marking when other dogs are around, but that should improve once he's neutered. He's currently very skinny, so his rescue is giving him some time to put on weight before his neuter. He's also heartworm positive, but don't let that scare you-the rescue is covering his heartworm treatment.
Because Bean is tiny tiny, he would do best with gentle handling. He could absolutely live with kids who understand that he's more "delicate teacup" than "rugby ball." He'd be frightened by being grabbed too hard or accidentally stepped on.
