Meet Bo
Bo is a 2-year-old, 63-pound Flat-Coated Retriever, and there appears to have been some sort of clerical error because nobody issued him a flaw.
We have checked.
He's dog friendly, playful, cuddly, charming, and remarkably polite with dogs and humans alike. Bo has manners. He also knows some basic commands, because apparently being devastatingly lovable wasn't enough and he decided to pursue continuing education.
He is so profoundly sweet that calling him "sweet" feels inadequate, like describing the ocean as somewhat damp. Bo is simply a good, good boy, the kind that makes you suspect he knows something about being alive that the rest of us have overcomplicated.
He also possesses the enormously convenient ability to be playful and chill. Want to have fun? Bo has cleared his schedule. Want to lounge around doing absolutely nothing of consequence? Remarkably, he has also trained extensively for this.
Cats remain an unanswered question. He hasn't been properly introduced to one yet, so we're not fabricating credentials on his resume. The investigation remains pending.
Bo is heartworm positive, but Take Paws Rescue will provide and complete his treatment. His job is to get healthy. His future family's job is considerably harder: resisting the urge to tell him he's perfect approximately 400 times a day.
Good luck with that.
Because Bo is an angel boy. Sixty-three pounds of softness, impeccable intentions, affection, playfulness, and whatever mysterious substance causes a dog to lean against you and instantly improve your afternoon.
Bo doesn't require an elaborate sales pitch.
Spend five minutes with him.
The prosecution rests.

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to complete an application and read all of our FAQs:
https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt
Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
For more on this, or for additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets (including an explanation about Benefactor Dogs), please see our FAQs page:

Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
