Polo is one of those dogs.

With his goofy smile, soulful eyes, and lovable personality, it's impossible not to fall for this big, handsome boy. He came to Take Paws from a rural parish shelter where his future was uncertain. Now he's safe, loved, and ready to find the forever family he's always deserved.

Polo is truly a super doll of a dog. He's cuddly when it's time to relax, playful when it's time for fun, and always happy to be part of whatever you're doing. He's got a silly side that will keep you laughing and a gentle side that will make you wonder how you got so lucky.

Polo is well-behaved, eager to please, and has all the makings of an incredible family companion. He's the kind of dog who wants to be included in every adventure, then curl up next to you when the day is done.

His heartworm treatment is already being taken care of, so all that's left is finding the people who will love him through the rest of his journey.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.

***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
