Meet Ember, a 2-month-old, 16-pound little spark who is ready to set your heart on fire!

Her story started in a heartbreaking place. Ember and her brother Blaze were found locked in a kennel inside a burned-out apartment building, abandoned in terrible conditions. Thankfully, someone heard their cries and came to their rescue.

Now look at her! Ember is safe, thriving, and ready for her forever family!

We're calling her a Whippet/Mountain Cur mix for now, but honestly... she's a little mystery mix with 100% adorable DNA! We expect her to grow into a medium-sized girl.

She's sweet, well-mannered, and has an amazing temperament-and her fosters have done a fantastic job giving her the best start possible. We think Ember is going to make someone a pretty amazing lifelong companion.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
