10 years old Lab/Shepherd mix

Some dogs lose everything in a single day.

After her beloved owner passed away, Pearle found herself at the shelter-confused, grieving, and wondering where the only family she'd ever known had gone.

Despite everything, Pearle is remarkably sweet. She's calm, gentle, quiet, and incredibly easy to love. She is fully house trained, crate trained, dog friendly, spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative and appears to be in good health.

Pearle is a little underweight at 62 lbs and likely grieving the loss of her owner and adjusting to such a heartbreaking change. With love, patience, and a stable home, we know she'll begin to heal.

All Pearle wants is a soft bed, a kind heart, and someone to love again.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.

***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
