Bud is a 3-year-old Flat Coat Retriever mix with a heart as big as his happy-go-lucky personality! This sweet boy has never met a stranger and is ready to make friends with everyone he meets-dogs, cats, and people of all ages.

And cats? Bud doesn't just tolerate them...he's been known to snuggle up with his feline friends! Talk about a certified cuddle buddy!

Bud is potty trained and crate trained, making him an easy addition to the family. He's energetic, playful, and happiest when he has room to run, romp, and show off his zoomies. A home with a yard or an active family who can give him plenty of playtime would be perfect for this fun-loving guy.

But after playtime comes cuddle time, because underneath all that energy is one very sweet boy who just wants to be loved.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.

***Take Paws Rescue, based in New Orleans, saves dogs from high-kill shelters across the South, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it's the perfect match!
