Wilfred (aka "Wilfredo")
Meet Wilfred, a spunky, loving, patient, affectionate, and determined eight-year-old who weighs about twelve pounds! He's moderate energy and truly loves his walks, undeterred by rain and always taking each one like he's on a mission. He's relaxed at home once he's gotten his exercise, and he handles new situations like a champ.
Wilfred is great with new people, greeting guests affectionately and staying calm even when the doorbell rings. He's the only dog in his current home, but he loves saying hi to other dogs he meets out on walks around Brooklyn.
He's potty trained and good on a leash, always enjoying a friendly greeting with other dogs along the way. He's food-motivated and stays alert for crumbs on his walks. He knows "sit."
Wilfred's days are full of walks (he loves a long one!), work-from-home company, and plenty of cuddles on his terms — he lets his person know exactly when he wants affection and when he'd rather have space. He hasn't shown much interest in toys, preferring attention and companionship above all.
Wilfred would do best with an adopter who works from home or has plenty of time to spend with him. He's very friendly and would do great in a home with other pets, whether as an only dog or alongside another. He loves meeting new people, and he's a great fit for any type of household, as long as he's getting quality walks.
