Meet Panda — The Boy Who Was Born to Make a Splash

Some puppies chase balls.
Some puppies chase squirrels.

Panda chases puddles.

At just 5 months old and 25 pounds, Panda has already discovered one of life’s greatest pleasures: WATER.

A kiddie pool? He’s in.

A puddle? Obviously.

Something he can splash in, stomp through or generally turn into a giant wet mess?

BEST. DAY. EVER.

Panda is a handsome mix of Heeler/Cattle Dog and Labrador, and there may even be a little Pointer and/or Spaniel hiding in that adorable puppy body. Whatever his family tree looks like, we expect him to grow to around 50 pounds of happy, playful, water-loving goodness.

And Panda’s love of life doesn’t stop at the water’s edge.

He absolutely loves playing with other puppies. Give him some canine buddies and he’s ready to romp. Give him a good toy and he’ll happily entertain himself. Take out the leash and he’s working hard to figure out this whole “walking politely with a human” business.

Then there are people.

Panda apparently never received the memo about strangers.

As far as he’s concerned, strangers are just friends who haven’t met Panda yet.

He’s social, curious, affectionate and ready to experience everything the world has to offer.

Panda is still just a baby, with plenty to learn and a whole lifetime ahead of him. He’s looking for a family who will teach him, play with him, love him—and perhaps accept the fact that owning a few extra towels may now be a requirement.

Because somewhere out there is Panda’s forever family.

And if they happen to have a pool?

Panda would like to know how soon he can move in.

Panda's big adventure!

Panda is microchipped & fully vaccinated and will need to be neutered by his adopter before he is 1 year old. We will give you a $100 rebate when that has been done. He would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family.

Currently this dog is being fostered near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

Adoption fee is $425 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Once your application is approved, we can arrange a FaceTime session for you to meet him.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
