Meet Cassidy — Tiny Girl, Giant Lamb Chop

Cassidy is a 10-week-old Papillon x Yorkie mix who currently weighs a whopping 4 pounds. She’s expected to be around 10 pounds when fully grown, although judging by her choice of toys, Cassidy apparently believes she’s already a much larger dog.

Her favorite possession is Lamb Chop — a stuffed animal nearly large enough to require its own adoption application. Cassidy carries it around proudly and sees absolutely nothing ridiculous about this arrangement.

Of the three siblings, Cassidy is the shy one. She’s sweet, gentle and a little demure when she first meets you. Give her a few minutes, though, and suddenly you have a four-pound puppy in your lap who has decided you make an excellent mattress.

She gets along wonderfully with the adult dogs in her foster home and is very respectful of them. She’s already crate trained and working hard on potty training. We emphasize working on it. She is 10 weeks old, people. Lower your expectations.

And we need to discuss the ear.

Cassidy has one quirky little right ear that likes to stand straight up while the other one does whatever it feels like. We don't know whether the right ear is picking up satellite radio, communicating with the mother ship, or simply helping Cassidy achieve maximum cuteness. Whatever its purpose, we're leaving it alone.

Cassidy is sweet, cuddly, playful, slightly shy and completely adorable.

Lamb Chop may or may not be included. Cassidy is still negotiating the terms.

The Details:

Cassidy will be microchipped & has her age-appropriate vaccinations and will need to be spayed by her adopter before she is 1 year old. You can do that at one of our Houston vets at no expense or you will receive a $100 rebate if that is done by your own vet. She would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands she has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with her new family.

Adoption fee is $525.
