Roux Roxberry (Benefactor Dog) - Standard Poodle Dog for Adoption in New Orleans, Louisiana

Hi, I'm Roux Roxberry - chocolate, curly, and currently accepting applications for the position of Couch Provider.

I'm 3 years old, 34 pounds, and a chocolate Poodle, which means I basically look like a brownie that grew legs and developed opinions.

I recently came to Take Paws as an owner surrender, and right now I'm staying at the Stray Cafe. The humans are still getting to know me, but we've already established one very important fact:

Shelter life? Not my ministry.

I need a foster or adopter who can give me a little time to decompress, settle into a routine, and reveal the full Roux Roxberry experience.

Here's what we know so far: I'm neutered, heartworm negative, and dog friendly. Cats are technically still TBD, although I did meet Julius, the Cafe cat. He looked at me. I looked at him. We both decided we had other things to do. Honestly, very mature of us.

My house-dog resume is still a work in progress. I have some accidents, but I'm working on it. Crate training? Also working on it. Please respect that I am currently in my personal growth era.

What I am already very good at is being sweet, curly, ridiculously cute, and shaped exactly like a dog who should be lounging on somebody's couch instead of living at the Cafe.

I've had a big change in my life, and I just need someone willing to give me a chance to settle in and show you who I am.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
