DESCRIPTION
Gerry is a handsome 4-year old male Shepherd mix who was brought to the HSOV on September 12th 2026 by a Good Samaritan who found him in the Walmart Parking Lot (Pike Street, Marietta Ohio). Gerry was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.
This good-looking guy has a brown-and-tan coat with a patch of white on his chest, 'cowboy chaps' on his hind quarters, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, a slender muzzle, and 'folded-over' ears.
These photos of Gerry were taken on the afternoon on September 17th when HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn Moore accompanied him for outdoor photos. This awesome boy has a charismatic, magnetic personality and turned on the charm during his photo session. He loved attention from Tracy and posed like a Westminster showdog in many of his pictures.
Gerry weighs 75 lbs and walks fairly well on a leash. He has already been neutered.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Gerry was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Quite surprisingly, nobody has called or came looking for him as of September 17th 2026.
