Malarky is a funny little guy. For starters, he's got these absolutely tiny legs underneath a 20-pound pug body which makes him look like he's perpetually about two seconds away from waddling off to find a snack. And fortunately for Malarky, snacks are one of the things he takes very seriously and expects often!

He's about 4 years old and was picked up as a stray after appearing to have spent quite some time fending for himself. When he arrived he was covered in fleas and had patches of missing fur all over him. Thankfully the fleas have since been evicted, his skin is doing much better, and his fur is steadily filling back in!

Malarky isn't immediately convinced that every person he meets is his new best friend. He tends to hang back at first and watch you for a bit. He's just a little cautious. But put a treat in your hand and suddenly we're having a very productive conversation. Once he decides you're okay you'll see a completely different side of him! He's sweet, affectionate, and very happy to hang out with his people.

He gets along well with other dogs and doesn't need to be the center of attention. He enjoys getting out for walks, poking around, and having some playtime, but he has a pretty solid work-life balance figured out. A little exercise? Absolutely. Some fun? Sure. But after that, he'd like to clock out and spend the afternoon on the couch.

He's the kind of dog who will probably become more and more entertaining the longer you know him. At first you get the cautious little guy with the tiny legs. Then you discover the treat fanatic. Then the goofy side starts coming out. And eventually you've got a 20-pound couch potato who won't leave your side!
