This 3-year-old, 23-pound boy has places to be. Mostly the other side of the yard, followed immediately by the side he just came from. Is there a purpose? Unclear. Is he having an incredible time? Absolutely.
Twizzler was dropped off at a local shelter by his previous owner. We don't know why he was left there or what his life looked like before, but when we heard he needed help, we went down to pick him up and brought him to Pug Nation in hopes of finding him the loving forever home he deserves.
He is peppy, playful, and wildly enthusiastic about the opportunity to run around. Zoomies are his specialty, and he executes them with impressive speed and the confidence of someone who assumes everyone will stop what they're doing to watch. To be fair, we usually do.
Twizzler gets along great with other dogs and has an easygoing social style. He is not trying to run the meeting or become anyone's supervisor. He just wants to know who is playing and whether they need one more. He can keep up with the action, but he is also happy to slow down and cuddle when the mood shifts. There is a snuggle setting. You just have to let him finish his laps.
His ideal home will give him plenty of opportunities to play and explore. A securely fenced yard would be a big hit, but an engaged, active person who makes time for outings and safe places to stretch his legs could be a wonderful match too. Another friendly dog might appreciate having a buddy who brings the enthusiasm without needing to be in charge.
