Dazzle - Pug Dog for Adoption in Gardena, California

We have a theory that Dazzle has never met a stranger. She has never met a person she didn't immediately like, a lap she didn't want to investigate, or a yard she couldn't somehow turn into her personal racetrack.

This big girl is about 6 years old and weighs a whopping 37 pounds, and yes, she is every bit as delightful as she is substantial. Dazzle was found as a stray and ended up at SEAACA before we heard about her and rushed over to bring her to Pug Nation.

The first thing you'll notice about Dazzle is her face. She is ALWAYS smiling. We're not sure how she does it, but Dazzle has this permanent happy expression that makes it nearly impossible not to smile back. Then she waddles over, leans into you, and suddenly you've got a big cuddle bug trying to become your new best friend. She's naturally friendly and trusting with people and absolutely loves attention. She is a serious cuddler and seems to believe that there is no such thing as too much affection. She also does great with other dogs and is happy to have canine friends around.

And don't let the chunk fool you...this girl can MOVE. Once she's out in the yard, Dazzle will break into a full-blown case of the zoomies, and watching her barrel around with complete confidence is pretty entertaining. She's surprisingly agile and has plenty of pep when she wants to show it off.

Dazzle is overweight, and we'd like to see her lose some pounds so she can be healthier and more comfortable. Fortunately, she has been a very good sport about her diet. She may have had to give up some of the less-than-ideal snacks, but thankfully nobody told her carrots and blueberries aren't delicious, because those have become some of her favorite treats.

Honestly, Dazzle doesn't seem particularly bothered by any of it. She's too busy having a good time. That's what we love about her, she's just happy. Happy to see you, to make friends, to go outside, to play, cuddle, to eat a blueberry. She's one of those dogs who makes herself memorable without even trying. She's got the personality, the smile, the giant cuddle factor, and enough silly energy to keep things interesting.
