Okay, we're just going to say it: Esme is a very, very easy dog to fall in love with. She's 4 years old, weighs just 14 pounds, and has the kind of personality that makes you wonder how anyone could have ever let this little girl go!
Esme came to us after her previous owner experienced mental health challenges and could no longer properly care for her. She had been spending a lot of time outside, which was especially difficult during the hot summer months. Thankfully that chapter is behind her now and since arriving at Pug Nation Esme has settled in seamlessly and has wasted no time showing us what a wonderful little dog she is.
Esme is social, playful, affectionate, and very much of the opinion that if something is happening, she should probably be invited. Someone going outside? Esme's coming. Someone getting attention? Esme would like some too. Other dogs playing? Count her in!!
She gets along great with other dogs and has even done well with cats, which makes her an especially easy little buddy. She's happy to play and have fun, but what she really seems to love is being around her people and feeling like she's part of the family.
Esme doesn't need a complicated life or anything extravagant. She just needs a family who will include her, love her, and give her the kind of home where she never has to wonder where she belongs again. A place where she gets her own bed, her own people, her own routines, and the absolute certainty that she's staying there.
