Tanka is 2 years old, 20 pounds, and deeply committed to being involved in whatever you are doing. Going for a walk? He's coming. Opening a cabinet? He would like to inspect the contents. Sitting down for three seconds? Great, he has been waiting all day for this cuddle appointment.
Tanka was relinquished by his previous family because his energy was simply too much for their household and the needs of their child with autism. He is not a bad dog or even an unusually difficult dog. He is just a young, spunky pug with places to be, things to investigate, and absolutely no intention of missing out.
He is playful, curious, and always ready to explore. He likes meeting people, playing with other dogs, and generally being wherever the action is. If something is happening he assumes he was invited. Honestly, he may assume he organized it.
Once he has gotten his wiggles out and decides the day has been sufficiently supervised, Tanka is all about cuddling. He loves attention and wants to be close to his people, preferably while receiving praise for all of the important work he did earlier.
Tanka does wonderfully with people of all ages and gets along great with other dogs. He seems to have been properly socialized and would be thrilled to have a canine friend, human playmates, or both in his forever home.
Basically, Tanka is everything people love about pugs. He is friendly, silly, affectionate, slightly unhinged, and extremely cute while doing absolutely anything.
His ideal family will enjoy his energy, include him in their adventures, and understand that privacy is no longer part of the household benefits package.
