Baba is 10 years old, weighs 18 pounds, and has reached a stage in life where she knows exactly what she wants: comfortable places to nap, mellow buddies to lounge with, and immediate notification whenever snacks enter the building. Honestly... she has it figured out!

Baba was surrendered by her previous owner to a local shelter, where the sudden change left her completely overwhelmed. She was tense, frightened, and occasionally snappy with the shelter staff. She needed an immediate exit over there, so we stepped in and brought her to Pug Nation for some care, breathing room, and a chance to show us who she really is.

Once she had time to decompress she transformed into an absolute sweetie!! She's gentle, calm, and extremely talented at lounging. Baba loves settling in beside her dog friends for a serious group nap and understands that conserving energy is an important part of the day.

That energy becomes mysteriously available, however, when treats appear. The moment Baba suspects food might be involved this dignified senior lady becomes surprisingly spry and playful. She is a foodie in the most traditional pug sense, which means snacks are not merely appreciated they're a core part of her belief system. ;)

Baba gets along well with other dogs, especially mellow ones who share her interest in relaxing without unnecessary commotion. Because she was defensive while frightened at the previous shelter, she should live with respectful children over 5 years old if there are any in the home.

For a 10-year-old girl Baba is doing quite well. Her ideal adopter will have experience with senior dogs or be willing to learn what she may need as she continues to age. Mostly, she is looking for a peaceful home where she can feel secure, enjoy her naps, collect her snacks, and reveal her playful side whenever the mood strikes.
