DESCRIPTION
Hi, my name is Fluffy! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Spunky, sweet, shy at first
-Can Live with Kids: Respectful, dog savvy kiddos. Recommending ages 8+.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history - will need slow and supervised intros.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, with the right match. Fluffy was surrendered for playing too roughly with the dogs in his previous home. All introductions done at WHS to ensure everyone gets along.
-Can do Apartment Living: Yes - should be okay with daily mental and physical stimulation.
-Potty Trained: Seems to be!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: No
-Energy Level: Medium-High
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, neuter/MC.
Meet Fluffy! This adorable little pup is fully grown believe it or not, although he makes up for it with his spunkiness! He can be shy of new things or people at first, so he will need a patient adopter who can reassure him. Once he gets to know you, it's a different story - he becomes his sweet and affectionate self, leaping up for all your love. He will need lots of exercise and mental stimulation to ensure he is the happiest boy - he can be very playful and active, so making sure he gets his wiggles out is a must! If you need a new adorable best friend, consider meeting Fluffy!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
