Danica is a lovely senior girl and through no fault of her own, she found herself at the shelter, and now she’s hoping for a soft place to land and a family to call her own. She came in with very inflamed paws likely due to a contact allergy potentially to grass, it has gotten better since being at the shelter and wearing booties when she goes on walks. She has a calm, sweet demeanor and enjoys the simple things, she’s the kind of dog who will happily keep you company while you read, watch TV, or enjoy a quiet afternoon at home. As a senior, Danica is looking for a home that understands and values the needs of an older dog. Her future family should be prepared to provide consistent veterinary care, nutritious meals, and the right balance of mental and physical enrichment to keep her comfortable and engaged as she ages.
