Meet Darcy - The Big Sweet Girl Who Is Always Ready to Play
Darcy is a big, sweet, goofy girl with a whole lot of personality just waiting to come out.
She may bark when she first meets someone, but give her a little time to get comfortable and you'll quickly discover the playful, funny girl underneath.
Darcy loves toys, other dogs, exploring, and just about anything that gives her an excuse to play.
And if there's a kiddie pool involved? Even better.
Darcy Loves:
-Playing with other dogs
-Tug toys
-Playing with toys
-Sniffing and exploring
-Zoomies
-Getting attention
-Outdoor adventures
-Splashing in her pool
-Digging in the water
-Running ridiculous little circles inside the pool
Darcy's Favorite Thing:
Playtime.
Darcy's foster describes her pretty simply:
"She is all play, play, play."
One of her favorite activities involves a plastic swimming pool in the yard. Darcy digs and splashes in the water and even runs circles around the inside of the pool.
It's silly, enthusiastic, and very Darcy.
A Big Personality Once You Know Her
Darcy is playful and adventurous, but she also has a gentle, sweet, easygoing side.
She's fairly independent and doesn't need to be attached to someone every second, but she still loves attention from her people.
When meeting someone new, Darcy may initially bark. Her comfort with new experiences is improving with exposure, and once she gets to know you, her big personality starts to shine.
She's happy, funny, playful, and ready to have a good time.
Darcy Already Knows a Few Things
Darcy is both house trained and crate trained.
She also knows:
Sit
Stay
Come
Crate
Her leash skills still need some practice, but she's already got a solid start on several important basics.
Darcy has one other habit worth mentioning:
Counter surfing.
Apparently, when you're a curious girl with some height, countertops can seem awfully interesting. Continued consistency and management will help reinforce better kitchen manners.
Dogs, Cats & Kids
Darcy loves other dogs and really enjoys canine playtime.
She also loves kids.
Her experience with cats is limited, so we can't say for certain how she'll do. Based on her temperament, her foster believes she would likely be fine with appropriate introductions.

Meet & Greet Availability:
Darcy's foster is not currently available to travel for meet-and-greets.
Darcy's previous history wasn't provided, so we'll let the girl she is today do the talking.
She's a big, sweet girl who loves other dogs and kids. She's already house and crate trained, knows several commands, and has a wonderful combination of independence and affection.
But the best version of Darcy comes out once she knows you.
That's when you get the goofy girl with the big personality-the one who loves to play, gets the zoomies, splashes around in her pool, and somehow decided that simply standing in a kiddie pool wasn't nearly entertaining enough when she could run laps inside it instead.
For an active family looking for a sweet dog with plenty of personality, Darcy could be one very fun addition.
