Meet Samuel — The Boy Who’s Ready to Belong

Somewhere along the way, Samuel lost his home.

We don't know how. We don't know how long he was on his own. We only know that this beautiful boy was found as a stray, and when no owner came forward to claim him, Samuel suddenly found himself waiting for a new life to begin.

And somehow, through all of that, he never stopped loving people.
Samuel is around 1–2 years old and 72 pounds, a handsome Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix with the kind of gentle nature you'd expect from both breeds.

He isn't looking for much.

A family. A soft place to sleep. Some dog friends to play with. And most of all, people he can finally call his own.

Samuel is ready for the part of his story where everything changes.

Ready for walks where he knows which house he's coming back to.

Ready for a favorite spot on the floor, a food bowl with his name on it and someone who smiles when they hear him coming.

Ready to stop being the stray somebody found and start being Samuel, somebody's dog.

We can't tell Samuel why his first family never came looking for him.

But maybe someday that won't matter anymore.

Because the right family won't have to come looking for the dog they lost.

They'll come looking for the dog they've been missing.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.

We use what we think is the best dog transport service in the region and have for years - Andrea and her crew really offer first class transport!
