Chip – Smart, Sweet, and Ready to Play Fetch Forever

Meet Chip, a handsome 2 year old Australian Shepherd Chocolate Lab mix weighing about 45lbs. With his bright eyes, happy grin, and chocolate and cream coat, he’s the perfect blend of brains, looks, loyalty, and fun.

Personality
Chip is a people-pleaser through and through — friendly, affectionate, and always up for a game of fetch. He’s great with most dogs, though he can be a little selective about his playmates, and he’s not a fan of cats (he’ll chase them). Once he feels comfortable, he plays beautifully with other dogs and loves to romp and run in the yard.

Smart & Trainable
True to his Aussie roots, Chip is extremely intelligent and eager to learn. He listens well, enjoys structure, and thrives when given clear guidance. He keeps his kennel clean and may need a little help finishing up his housetraining — he’s quick to catch on and wants to please. He’s happiest when he has a job to do, whether that’s retrieving his ball, showing off his leash manners or giving paw.

Adventurous & Easygoing
Chip rides wonderfully in the car, gazing out the window with curiosity. He loves walks around the pond at his foster’s ranch, dipping his paws in the dog pool, and carrying his ball proudly on leash walks. Off leash, he’ll dash straight to his favorite toy with his tail wagging — pure joy in motion.

His Story & Health
Chip came from a tough start — his previous family lost their home, and he ended up living in a car with them until he was surrendered to us. Despite that, he’s remained gentle and trusting. He’s finishing up his heartworm treatment and doing great; he’ll be cleared for normal activity soon. He’s neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped — ready for his next chapter.

Chip is neutered, microchipped & vaccinated and would benefit from being adopted by a dog-loving person who understands he has so much to offer but will need a little time to adjust and settle in with his new family.

Adoption fee is $395 plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on-time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.
