Carlos (Photos September 27th 2026) - Cattle Dog and Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dog for Adoption in Marietta, Ohio

Carlos is a handsome one-year old male Australian Cattle Dog/Red Heeler mix who was brought to the HSOV on September 24th 2026 by an individual who found him on State Route 60 towards Lowell Ohio. Carlos was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.

This good-looking young man has a white-and-tan/mahogany short-haired coat with red ticking, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, tan/red shading around his eyes, red ticking on his slender muzzle, and short floppy ears.

Carlos has a sweet/friendly, rather timid, disposition wants attention and to be loved more than anything else in the world.

Thanks to HSOV Volunteer Angel Grosklos for helping Carlos with his photo session on September 27th 2026 and for giving him the extra TLC that he wanted/needed. Carlos stayed close to Angel for moral support and gave her many nice hugs .. And he began to relax and 'smile' for the camera. Carlos was also a pushover for 'good boy' treats'.

Carlos had not yet stepped on the scales for a weigh-in, but he likely weighs 40 lbs or so.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Carlos was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so the his owner would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Sadly, nobody called or came looking for this sweet boy.

Since he was not reclaimed, Carlos is available for foster or foster-to-adopt with an approved HSOV foster/adoption application while he awaits his neuter procedure (a requirement for HSOV adoptions to be finalized).
