Meet Midnight
Midnight is a 3 year old, 89-pound Lab who is looking for a soft place to land after his owner sadly passed away. With no family able to take him in, he's currently being boarded while we search for a foster or forever home.
Midnight is such a sweet boy who absolutely loves attention and affection. He has great manners with people, keeps all four paws on the ground, and kennels beautifully.
Midnight has spent essentially his whole life alongside his brother, King, and King is his one special dog friend. If the perfect family came along who could open their home to both boys, we would absolutely love to see Midnight and King stay together. However, we know finding a home for two large dogs isn't always possible, and they can be separated.
When it comes to other pups, Midnight prefers to keep his circle very small, so if he is fostered or adopted without King, he'll need to be the only dog in the home. Doggy daycare won't be his thing either. He's much more of a hang-out-with-his-people kind of guy.
Midnight is neutered, up to date on vaccines, kennel trained, and heartworm positive with treatment already underway.
He's been through a big change, and we'd love to see him trade boarding for the comfort of a home. Whether that's alongside his brother or on his own with a family to love, Midnight deserves a soft place to land.

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to complete an application and read all of our FAQs:
https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt
Please note: Information to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application.
*An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application*
All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
For more on this, or for additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets (including an explanation about Benefactor Dogs), please see our FAQs page:

Labels are necessary for postings to many animal networking sites, such as our website, Chewy, Pet Finder, and others. These are in no way a guarantee. Additionally, exact age and potential size cannot be guaranteed.
