Looking for a hiking buddy? Keep scrolling. Hoover is a one-year-old pup who has already mastered the art of the couch potato. Despite weighing a solid 50 pounds, he firmly believes he is a delicate lap dog and will happily squish you for cuddles.

A Dog's Dog: Hoover is incredibly calm, friendly, and social around dogs of all sizes. He's a true pack player, though he politely requests a home with no cats or chickens.
The 30-Second Zoomie: His daily puppy energy lasts for exactly 30 seconds right after a potty break. Once that's over, it's straight back to baking like a potato.
Low-Maintenance Fun: Intense toy play is way too much work. Hoover prefers the gentle art of professional snuggling.
Fellow Late-Sleeper: If you love to sleep in, Hoover is your guy. He will happily hit the snooze button with you all morning.

All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info will be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention.
