Betty (aka “Boop”)
Meet Betty, a curious, sweet, calm, and cuddly five-year-old Shih Tzu who weighs eleven pounds! She’s a little shadow who follows her person everywhere. She can be a little tentative at first, but it only took her about five minutes to cuddle up to her foster.
Betty is low energy and happiest taking life at a gentle pace with short walks, big naps, and lots of time keeping her person company. She’s sweet and cuddly with other dogs and would do well as an only dog or with a canine sibling. She’s very quiet, settles into her crate after a few minutes, and is even good in the bath!
She’s learning city leash skills and isn’t afraid to explore. She’s also working on going potty outside and uses pee pads in the meantime. She settles right down in a carry bag, so she’s easy to bring on the subway or out and about. When she’s excited after a bath or before a walk, she breaks out into the most adorable little bunny hops!
Betty would do best in a calm home with someone looking for a tiny, gentle companion to curl up next to. She’s a great fit for apartment living.
What her foster says about her:
“If you’re looking for a small, calm buddy who will make you smile with her sweet little hops, Betty might be your girl.”
Betty previously tested positive for heartworm and was treated before traveling north.
