Rottweiler and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption in Yakima, Washington

Meet Shadow, a four-year-old Rottie mix weighing 61 pounds.

Shadow may have had a rough start, but you’d never guess it from her gentle, loving nature. She was previously owned by someone experiencing homelessness and was later abandoned at a house, but through it all, she’s remained incredibly sweet and trusting with people.

This little lady looks like a "mini Rottie"—with those classic markings and a sturdy build, just in a more compact package. She has a calm, easygoing personality and enjoys getting out for walks, where she does nicely on leash. Shadow is outgoing without being overwhelming, and she seems happiest just being near her people.

She already knows "sit" and has a soft, affectionate side that really shines once you spend a little time with her. Shadow does appear to have had a past hip injury, so she may never be a super athletic dog—but that just means she’s perfectly suited for a more relaxed lifestyle. She will be seen by a vet prior to adoption to ensure there’s nothing more going on and to help set her future family up for success.
