Meet Val, a two year old Husky/Shepherd mix weighing around 50 pounds.

When Val first came to us, the world felt like a pretty scary place. She was very shy and unsure, but with a little time, patience, and kindness, she’s already started to blossom. Now we’re seeing her sweet side come through—she’s becoming more outgoing every day and learning that people can be pretty great.

Val is the kind of dog who just needs a little time to feel safe, but once she does, the reward is so worth it. We fully expect her to continue opening up and gaining confidence in a loving forever home.

As a Husky-type pup, Val is likely to be intelligent, active, and full of personality. Huskies are known for forming strong bonds with their people, and they thrive with regular exercise, mental enrichment, and a routine they can count on.
