Meet Rory!

At 6 months old, Rory is everything you could want in a puppy—smart, playful, affectionate, and absolutely bursting with personality!

We think Rory is a beautiful Lab/Australian Shepherd mix, with a heart as big as those adorable puppy eyes. At six months old, she is about 45 pounds, and we figure she will top out between 65-75 pounds.

She is a very smart girl and already sits for treats and comes when called.
Rory is eager to learn and will thrive with a family excited to continue her training.

Rory is playful & fun! She loves squeaky toys, playing chase, splashing around in the water, exploring, and being part of whatever her people are doing.

Rory loves attention and is happiest when she is close to her people. She is great with kids and would love a family ready to include her in their adventures.

Cats? Rory is curious about them but respectful and has shown absolutely no aggression.

Rory is still a puppy, so her new family should be prepared to provide the consistency, patience, and structure every young pup needs. She is a bright girl and is already off to a wonderful start! She will do best in a home with another dog to romp with, and a fully fenced yard.

Rory is spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, crate trained, house trained and microchipped.

Currently Rory is being fostered at our Rescue near Houston, TX but can be brought close to your home on rescue transport which comes through your area once a month. Transport info below.

The adoption fee is $400, plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.

Understanding transport: Once everything is all approved, dogs are scheduled on transport using AJC Rescue & Transport (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100083418067425). Transport means dogs are carefully and thoughtfully moved via scheduled air conditioned/heated vans from our doggy ranch in Fulshear, TX to a location near you. Each transport consists of a team of two drivers who can alternate. This is how we communicate in real time. The driver who is not driving, will be updating the group chat. You will be included in this group chat to track your dog through transport. You will also be given exact location and scheduled time of arrival. Our drivers do everything possible to run on time however, things such as traffic, weather etc. can affect arrival time. You will be updated regarding delays or possible early arrival. Keep in mind, dogs on transport stop for bathroom, walk and food breaks. For safety, all dogs are crated during transport.

The Australian Shepherd is a highly intelligent and energetic herding dog known for its loyalty and work ethic. Originating in the United States, despite its name, this breed is prized for its agility, trainability, and versatility in various dog sports and activities. Australian Shepherds have a distinctive medium length coat that comes in different colors, often with unique merle patterns. With proper training, socialization, and exercise, these dogs make excellent companions for active families and individuals seeking a devoted and playful four legged friend.
